"LDz Cargo" will purchase another 100 railway freight wagons

The tender offers will be opened on 3 December while the guarantee has been determined in the amount of 10 000 lats in the form of a bank guarantee. As it was informed during summer LTD "LDz Cargo" concluded agreements with LTD"Skinest Latvija" for delivery of 100 covered and 100 grain wagons, as well as with LTD "Sigmen" on delivery of 100 fitting platforms. The chairman of the board of LTD "LDz Cargo" Guntis Mačs said that: “There was a great interest in the announced tender also from foreign companies. The railway wagons are a long-term investment, which will allow us to diversify and develop the types of freight transportation. For instance, currently there is a demand for grain transportation observed on the market; therefore a purchase of grain wagons was a timely and right decision, while the fitting platform will strengthen our positions on the market of container trasportation." The concern "Latvijas Dzelzceļš" consists of the parent company state JSC "Latvijas Dzelzceļš" and five subsidiary companies – JSC "LatRailNet", performing determination of the infrastructure pay and distribution of railway infrastructure power, LTD "LDz Cargo", ensuring railway cargo transportations and international passenger transportations, the infrastructure construction and maintenance company LTD "LDz Infrastruktūra", the rolling stock repair and maintenance company LTD "LDz Ritošā sastāva serviss", as well as the security company LTD "LDz Apsardze".
